Muyres, Annette (Duport)

Written by ECA Review

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Annette Muyres, a beautiful and loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Annette (Duport) Muyres was born Dec. 21, 1936 in Galahad, Alta.

She passed away Aug. 15, 2020 unexpectedly of pneumonia with family by her side at the Red Deer Regional Hospital.

She married Urban Muyres April 2, 1956 and together they had seven children: Phyllis (Glen) Wishart, Betty (Carl) Dilly, Glenn Muyres, Duanne (Connie) Muyres, Barry (Ruth) Muyres, Brenda (Darren) Haupt and Mona Muyres.

They were also blessed with 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

They lived in the Paintearth area for 24 years, Rocky Mtn. House for 29 years and then retired to Stettler in 2009.

She was kind, good-hearted and willing to do anything for anyone.

She helped Dad with all the farm work, had a huge garden, raised seven children and house was always spotless (don’t know how she did it all). She rarely complained and was grateful for what she had.

She loved to sew and made quilts for all her grandchildren and enjoyed making puzzles, crafts and playing cards and games.

She also enjoyed camping, fishing and going on holiday with family and friends.

She and Dad played cards every morning before they started the day.

She volunteered at Superfluity, IODE and The Hub.

Annette was predeceased by her daughter Betty and son Glenn.

Donations in her memory can be made to Galahad Cemetery or STARS.

Card of Thanks

Urban and Family would like to say thank you to everyone for the flowers, cards, food, and hugs.
