Re: Governance and the County of Stettler
During the July 14, 2021 County of Stettler regular council meeting, I represented my company, James Marshall Trucking Ltd. as a delegation and raised a number of concerns and asked questions to new and old concerns with the County of Stettler.
At the Aug. 11, 2021 regular council meeting, Administration presented council with reports and response to information I gave at the previous meeting.
I am writing this letter with concern regarding their response to my delegation.
I have been vilified during this delegation response with hearsay comments and inaccurate comments from councillors, staff, etc. I have been in contact with you years previously with concerns without documented proof. Since then I thought it was important to document and report all findings to you.
I have been accused of threatening staff, council and their families. Police have not charged nor do they have a file open regarding myself or my father.
As a ratepayer, I am concerned with the extent this municipal government has vilified me, mistreated my staff, made false allegation as well as provided my local community and yourself with false information in response to my July 24, 2021 delegation. I have provided you with proof of this and appreciate your concern.
I agree with the County of Stettler No. 6 that Municipal Affairs is needed to investigate this and other matters in the community I cherish and call my home.
I feel, though, this should not be an internal review but more appropriate a review that allows both sides of the story to be heard in an effort to expose the truth.
I have, within days, found information in response to my delegation as FALSE.
Other members in my community have major issues that need investigating, their voices need to be heard.
I’m concerned with the length this council and some staff have gone to misinform the public.
This has led to an attack on pieces of equipment of mine and police state this was a targeted attack.
Something is going on here and with Municipal Affairs resources, they can help reinstate good governance in this community.
