It is with great sadness that the family of Irene Julia Morton (Karg) of the Handhills announces her peaceful passing on July 6, 2017 in Hanna, Ab. at the age of 85.
Irene is survived by her loving husband Merle, daughters Deborah (Warren) and Roylene (Bill) and son Blake (Darcy); grandchildren Melissa, Jeffrey and Amanda and great grandchildren Sabastian, Jacob and Olivia.
Funeral services were held on July 12, 2017 at 1 p.m. at the Grace Lutheran Church in Drumheller. A luncheon followed at the Hand Hills Lake Club.
Irene was predeceased by her first husband Roy Morton; her parents Dave and Sophie Karg; brothers George and Herbert Karg, sister Betty Lou Feeney, adopted son Darrell Morton, granddaughter Nanci Nicole Stewart and grandson in-law Tom Roy.
If friends so desire donations may be made in Irene’s name to a registered charity of their choice. Courtney-Winter’s Homes are in care of the arrangements.
