Morrin School holds Remembrance Day service

Morrin School held their Remembrance Day ceremony on Fri. Nov. 8.

It was open to the public.

The procession included Veterans, representatives of the Royal Canadian Legion, RCMP, Pastor Skip MacArthur, Lions Club members and youth group representatives.

Masters of Ceremony were Haylee Sharpe and Angelina Stanger.

Walls of the gymnasium were decorated in various designs and drawings depicting a part of Remembrance Day.

Lynn Hemming, a retired Drumheller school teacher, travelled to Vimy Ridge with 79 other people who wanted to see the historic site in 2017 for the 100th anniversary.

She shared a presentation of their experience, showing some impactful moments throughout the trip overseas.
