Winners of this year’s public speaking for the Morrin Multi 4-H Club. ECA Review/Submitted

As the days are getting longer and the geese are landing, it reminds us of the warmer days ahead.

All of our Morrin  4-H Multi Club meetings and workshops are still being done online by Google Meets.

In December, we could not meet in person for a Christmas party. Hopefully, we can have an outdoor party in the spring?

One of our project leaders set up a Christmas scavenger hunt for all our club members to do.

We had to find items she asked for and send her a picture. That was fun!

In January we had a virtual public speaking workshop by Danielle Varga to get us ready for our Communications Day in February.

Our club leader, Melanie Nelson held a virtual Record Book Workshop to show us what we need to fill out in our record books.

These books will be displayed later at our Achievement Night.

On Feb. 26, we had our club communications event.

Starland County let us use their board room.

Each member came in separately and presented their speech or presentation.

Our Communications Day winners are: Junior Speeches – Chelsea Thacker in first, Ryan Burfield in second and Lexy Neill in third.

For Intermediate Speeches, Malenna Olsen came in first and Payton Wood in second.

Owen Guldberg placed first in senior speeches and Ashley McNaughton placed second.

For Senior presentations, Chantal Schipper placed first and Sam Gridley in second.

Everyone did a great job!

Our club is canvassing for our annual Bottle and Battery Drive.

If you have any bottles/cans and/or vehicle batteries you would like to donate, we would be happy to pick up.

All pick-ups will have to be on or before April 10.

Enjoy the sunshine and the nice weather.
