It seems that every time you turn on the TV or read a newspaper the reporting is all about reducing carbon emissions.
To watch the TV news or read the paper you would think the sky is falling due to the huge amounts of carbon emissions that are being released by man.
If you believed all of that propaganda you would be convinced that the glaciers are all going to disappear and that we will have large numbers of animal and plant species die off, due to ecosystem changes brought about by catastrophic global warming within the next half century.
A leading scientist and one of the world’s most important thinkers Freeman Dyson says: “ the idea that global warming is the most important problem facing the world is total nonsense and is doing a lot of harm.”
It is becoming obvious to me that the environmental community is more concerned with the source of their revenue than they are with the environment.
The self interest of environmentalists is to spread fear so they can raise large donations and the politicians self interest is to appear to be saving the earth.
If they, the media and the political left were honest with themselves and the rest of the world community they would be concerned about the LACK of carbon concentration rather than too much carbon.
A report assembled by the U.S. Senate Environment and Public Works Committee has quotes and comments of observations made by hundreds of prominent scientists and leading academics.
A number of them state that the world has been C02 starved for millions of years. Plants need C02 to grow and the more C02 that is available the better they grow.
If environmentalists were really concerned about the environment they would be promoting policies that increase C02 not decrease it.
World populations are increasing. This will increase the demand for more food. More C02 means more ability to grow more food.
The political left seem to think that the best way to solve the problem of helping poor people and people living in the Third World countries is wealth redistribution.
It seems to me that people living in countries that that are self sufficient in food production have a higher standard of living than people living in countries that are dependent on wealthy countries for their food supply.
I believe that many of these countries could become self sufficient in food production and less dependent if C02 concentrations were increased to at least 1200 pm from the current 400 ppm.
The Notley government here in Alberta is implementing policies that are backwards.
The concept of trying to decrease C02 emissions with a carbon tax and shutting down coal fired electricity generating plants makes no sense at all.
The percentage of C02 emission that Alberta is responsible for on a world basis is so minuscule that whatever is done it couldn’t make a difference anyway.
Patrick Moore is a scientist who used to be with Green Peace and left them when he discovered that they were basing their protests on ideology instead of science.
He has stated that without C02 above 150 parts per million, all plants would die. He says at 400 parts per million, all our crops, forests, and natural ecosystems are still on a starvation diet for carbon dioxide.
The optimum level of carbon dioxide for plant growth, given enough water and nutrients, is about 1500 parts per million, nearly four times higher than today.
I fear that the world is going to be in big trouble before very long if our conservative political parties don’t screw up the courage to expose the fraud and misinformation that is being perpetrated on us by the environmental left.
This idea of Carbon Caused Global Warming is nothing more than well financed ideology, not science!
