Gale was born in Hanna, Alta. on Aug 17, 1947 to Freda and Jobe Martin. Gale was blessed with two brothers: Les and Jerry.

Gale grew up on the family farm northeast of Hanna and spent all her growing-up years in the Hanna area. In 1953 she started school at Meadowlands and finished her education at Hanna High school, graduating in 1965.

After graduating from High School, Gale moved to Olds, Alta. to attend Olds Vocational College. She completed the Business Diploma program.

Gale loved to travel. She travelled to Portugal, Italy, Turkey, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Mexico, and all over the USA. She enjoyed Spain so much that she ended up living in Spain for a couple of years.

Some of Gale’s favourite hobbies included: playing the guitar, skiing in the winter, golf, camping and boating with friends. Every fall Gale would come home to help with harvest on the family farm. Her job was to drive truck.

Volunteering at the Mustard Seed in Calgary was important to Gale. Helping provide meals to the homeless and needy brought great satisfaction to her.
Gale never had children but her cats were her babies! She loved cats. Sam was her favourite cat. They brought her much joy and comfort.

Gale had a “likeable” personality. She got along with everyone and she liked people. She liked to joke around and always made everyone laugh.
She will be sadly missed by all those who knew her.
