Gladys Isabella Lowis went to be with her Saviour on February 21, 2012 at Rimbey. Gladys was born on November 4, 1921 in Calgary, Alberta. She married her husband Sam in Coronation in 1947. Five children, James, Catherine, Rita, Samuel Jr. (Tom) and chosen daughter Rosemary were born between 1950 and 1966. Gladys was predeceased by her husband Sam and her son James.
To mourn her loss are her daughter Cathy (Jim), Rita (Ken), son Tom and five grandchildren, Marsha, Dan (Tarina), Tania (Josh), Karen (Brad), Brent (Deanna) along with four great grandchildren, Ethan, Pierce, Emrie and Dryden. Also mourning her loss are brother-in-law (Joe Lowis) and nieces Rhonda (Don) and Glenda (Bruce).
A funeral service was held at the United Church in Coronation, Alberta on February 24, 2012. Many thanks go to the staff at the Rimbey Continuing Care facility for making mom’s last days as comfortable as possible.
