Novena Prayer to the Holy Spirit
Holy Spirit, third Person of the Blessed Trinity, Spirit of truth, love, and holiness, proceeding from the Father and the Son, and equal to Them in all things, I adore You and love You with all my heart.
Dearest Holy Spirit, confiding in Your deep, personal love for me, I am making this novena for the following request, if it should be Your holy Will to grant it: (Mention your request).
Teach me, Divine Spirit, to know and seek my last end; grant me the holy fear of God; grant me truth contrition and patience. Do not let me fall into sin. Give me an increase in faith, hope and charity, and bring forth in my soul all the virtues proper to my state of life.
Make me a faithful disciple of Jesus and an obedient child of the Church. Give me efficacious grace and sufficient to keep the Commandments and to receive the Sacraments worthily. Give me the four Cardinal Virtues, Your Seven Gifts, Your Twelve Fruits. Raise me to perfection in the state of life to which You have called me and lead me through a happy death to everlasting life. I ask this through Chris our Lord. Amen

Glorious Saint Jude Thaddeus, by those sublime privileges with which you were adorned in your lifetime, namely, your relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ according to the flesh, and your vocation to be an Apostle, and by that glory which now is yours in heaven as a reward of your apostolic labors and your martyrdom, obtain for me from the Giver of every good and person gift all your graces of which I stand in need: (Mention your request).
May I treasure up in my heart the divinely inspired doctrines that you have given us in your Epistle: to build my edifice of holiness upon your most holy faith, by praying for the grace of the Holy Spirit; to keep myself in the love of God, looking for the mercy of Jesus Christ unto eternal life; to strive by all means to help those who go astray.
May I thus praise the glory and majesty, the dominion and power of Him Who is able to keep me without sin and to present me spotless with great joy at the coming of our Divine Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
