Parts of the manger scene on our church lawn were tilting this Christmas. In fact, for a while I worried that the Christ-child might be flattened by a camel before we had a chance to celebrate the great event of the coming of his Light into the world!
Whether it was because the bigger pieces were not anchored securely, or the influence of the strong winds, I don’t know, but I noted with interest that it was one of the Magi, a foreigner, who seemed to be leaning in most urgently.
That speaks to me of the sheer fascination – and the worthiness of the adoration – of all the peoples of the world for our Saviour whose birth we celebrated and whose light we welcome, in a world in need.
Everyone, no matter your own background or place in the world, is welcome to join us in worship or Sunday School,at Knox United, Castor on Sunday mornings, at 10:30 am.
