Killam RCMP on scene of Highway 13 two-vehicle collision

Killam RCMP is advising motorists that traffic will be re-routed on Highway 13 between Range Road 124 and Range Road 130 starting at 9:00 a.m.

The Sedgewick Fire Department will be assisting in removing a semi-tractor along the Highway that was involved in a collision yesterday.
Motorists can expect delays until early afternoon.



Traffic is no longer being re-routed on Highway 13.

Killam RCMP responded to a two-vehicle collision at approximately 12:00 p.m., involving a semi-tractor and a car on Highway 13 and Range Road 125.

Preliminary investigation has revealed that a car was taking a curve on Highway 13 and a head-on collision occurred with the semi-tractor.

Tragically, the 74-year-old male driver of the car from Sedgewick was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the semi-tractor suffered minor injuries and was released on scene.

Killam RCMP and an RCMP Collision Analyst remained on scene for several hours and the investigation continues.

No charges will be laid and further updates are not anticipated. The name of the deceased will not be released.

Our thoughts are with the family of the deceased at this time.


Killam RCMP is currently on scene of a two-vehicle collision on Highway 13 and Range Road 125 west of Sedgewick.

Traffic is currently being re-routed around the collision scene.  

Motorists are asked to avoid the area or expect delays.

An update will be provided with more information when available.
