It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Hertha Kelm on June 24 at the Hanna Long Term Care Facility, Hanna, Ab.
Hertha passed away peacefully at the age of 90 years.
She was born in Hanna to Robert and Bertha Kautz on May 10, 1927. On May 2, 1946, she married Samuel Kelm and together they raised four sons.
Hertha lived her entire life in Hanna; farming and then moving to town where she worked at Stedman’s and then later became a very successful Avon representative.
Hertha enjoyed cooking old family recipes for her family. She also took great pleasure in the friendships she made while selling Avon.
Hertha was predeceased by her loving husband Sam and loving son Glenn, two sisters and one brother.
She is survived by her sons Allan (Kathy) Kelm, Brian (Traudi) Kelm, Patrick (Shannon) Kelm, daughter-in-law Marie Kelm, eight grandchildren: Rodney, Shane, Kris, Bryan, Dawnn, Krista, Matthew, and Mitchell, as well as five great grandchildren: Mitch, Sam, Dylan, Harrison, and James, plus many nieces and nephews.
With respect to Hertha’s wishes no funeral service was held.

Thank you to all the staff at Long Term Care who looked after mom. Your care, compassion, and understanding was greatly appreciated. It meant a lot to us knowing she was always in good hands. A special thank you to Lorne and Frieda Hunter for always being there for mom.
