It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gary Allen Jensen on March 26, 2024, after a long struggle with congestive heart failure.
Gary was a long-time resident of Hanna, who could always be seen in the company of his beloved dog, Bella.
Gary grew up in Hanna and attended high school in Drumheller.
For all who knew him, Gary was a kind, gentle soul. Puerto Vallarta held a special place in his heart and he cherished the close friendships he made in his travels as well as the hobbies including Mexican cooking and learning Spanish sparked by his travels.
He will be remembered for his compassion. He was dearly loved and will be missed.
Gary was predeceased by his parents, Thor and Elizabeth Jensen. He leaves to mourn his loss, his sisters, Christine Jensen-Ross (Doug), Beth Lynes (Ed) and Susan Jensen (Chris) and nieces Jacqui, Janine, Julie and nephews Ben and Ryan and their children.
Thank you to all who helped Gary in his life journey.
A gathering to celebrate Gary’s life will be held at a later date.
