Hansen, Ingeborg (Inga)

September 5, 1916 – May 20, 2013
Inga passed away peacefully at the McKenzie Town Care Center on May 20 at the age of 96 years.
She was the eldest of three children born to Andrew and Anna Raniseth at Veteran, Alberta.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters and son in law, Alberta Peterson, Karen and Leroy English, Sylvia and Hugh Adams, Elsie and Grant Tilford; eight grandchildren, Terry (Carly) Peterson, Chris (Glen) Maynes, Keith (Deb) Adams, Christine MacDowell, Kyle (Yvonne) English, Brad (Kelly) Tilford, Brent (Shannon) Tilford, Colleen (Jason) Smith.
Eleven great grandchildren, Courtney MacDowell, Hailey and Kaitlin Adams, Leah, Jackson and Hunter Maynes, Reegan and Kylie Tilford, Jacob and Breanna Smith,  Zachary Tilford; and her sister Alma Meyer.
Inga was predeceased by her husband Hans Hansen, her daughter Eleanor Gienger, grandson Ernie Gienger, son-in-law Harry Gienger and brother Harold Raniseth.
Hans and Inga met in Coronation and after their marriage bought a farm at Brownfield where they lived until Hans passed away in 1967 and Inga moved to Calgary.
The most special and important part of Inga’s life was her family. She also enjoyed playing cards and continued to play and win at cribbage until the last few weeks of her life.
A Celebration of Inga’s Life was held in Calgary on Saturday, May 25. Inga was cremated and her ashes will be interred in the Coronation cemetery with her late husband, Hans Christian Hansen at a later date.
