The Anthony Henday Museum celebrated Heritage Days in Delburne on Sat. August 21, 2021.
There were many old-time events such as rope making, freshly churning of homemade ice cream and displays of farm machinery.
Booths were set up around the old Wood Lake School that has been fully restored.
Those who toured the school were amazed at the restoration and the attention to detail that has made the school a tour favourite.
Some of the memorabilia such as framed pictures and desks go back to the early 30s. They even had a teacher dressed in period costume standing at the head of the class to remind visitors what it was like attending a one-room classroom in the olden days.
In addition, the original Delburne water tower was open for visiting with three levels of displays.
Music was supplied by local entertainers Randy Hillman and James and Jason Reckseidler.
Jason gave a musical tribute to Roy Orbison and James represented his band Reijo with some of his original songs.
The museum set up a booth to provide food and drinks for the crowd and other displays added to the overall event.
This was an annual fundraiser for the local museum and they expressed their dire need of more members.
The board would welcome any input from the community in the way of memberships or volunteer assistance.
