
HEIDEN, Dale Edward
May 20, 1926 – May 9, 2021
Dale was born to Charles Edward Heiden and Verna May Heiden (nee Blood), one of six children; Della Stanford, Bill, Bud and Jay, all deceased, and Delores.
Dale served in the Canadian Army in the Second World War.
He was a heavy-duty mechanic who worked on oil rigs and boats.
He married Shirley Maude Townsend in 1947 and they had five children; Dawn Opal Heiden 1951, Douglas Charles Heiden 1952-1977, Cheryl Ann Heiden 1953-53, Terry Dale Heiden 1954-1980 and Dale Edward Heiden 1955-1955.
He married the love of his life, Jeanette Klassen, in 1974.
They were together for 46 years.
Dale was at her bedside when she passed this earlier year.
He is predeceased by his stepdaughter Marcy Cornforth (2021) and his great-grandson Julian Loeschnik.
Dale is survived by his daughter Dawn, stepchildren: Lorne and Karen Klassen and Jim and Mirjana Klassen.
He is lovingly remembered by grandchildren Roxanne and Dana Heiden; Lana, Scott, Jeanean, Dylan, Jeff, Lisa and Ginger Klassen. Also his great-grandchildren: Luis and Reina Loeschnik; Joshua, Kayla, Emma, Jayden, Kayle and Hazel Klassen and Annabelle, Theodore and Kingston Cornforth and his great-great-grandchild Spruce Batcheller.
Dale was a gentle man who worked hard, played hard and loved life, he will be greatly missed.
