Leslie Heidecker, age 50, passed away peacefully in the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Edmonton, AB surrounded by the loving embrace of her close family and friends. Leslie came to us on March 4, 1962. Born into the heart of Nina Ohrn and accepted into the heart and home of Bernard and Patricia Oke in Throne, AB. Leslie’s family settled in Castor, AB where she attended the Theresetta School. She was married to Terry on July 29, 1983 and moved to Coronation, AB.
They had two children and raised them farming the land and tending to different animals. Terry and Les sold most of their land in 1999 to pursue their passions. Leslie has worked at the Coronation Hospital since 1985 touching the lives and hearts of the community with her unbridled spirit. Over the years she supported and celebrated the lives of patients in her care, especially the elderly; devoting time and passion to groups that bring people together such as the Federal Friendship Club and the Pioneer Twilight Club.
Leslie enjoyed the summer sun, being outdoors, her flower gardens, crafting and creating flower arrangements. She especially treasured time with her family and friends. She adored and cherished every waking moment with her grandchildren Rachel and Jonny. Travelling, camping and riding her motorcycle all made her smile sparkle.
