Headed down the garden path

Dear Editor,

A couple of weeks ago there was a meeting in Calgary of some of Alberta’s MLAs to discuss the future of Alberta’s premier.

A writer for the Calgary Sun summed up the MLA’s this way, “They walked in the front door and slithered out the side door without speaking to reporters.”

I’ve heard Alberta’s MLAs described as ‘Kenny’s Kids’ and they proved to Albertans that’s what they are.

Not enough courage to even speak to reporters.  I guess they forgot their responsibility is to the people who elected them, the people of Alberta.

They let Albertans down. Families in Alberta have lost loved ones while our Premier hides in a corner, and health care is in shambles.

On another subject,  I read in the Western Producer there is an international campaign to remove all animal products from the marketplace, even chickens. It leaves me wondering where Canadians and the world population will say ‘enough is enough’.

I’ve never baked a cake without an egg! These so-called plant-based products are nothing but lots of chemicals, have no natural nutrition for mankind.

I was horrified when the television showed a “maggot” being put in the hamburger bun, covered with sauce!  Maggots were put on earth to eat rotting and decaying flesh and that’s what  you want your children to eat!

Now, let’s talk climate.  The climate has been changing as long as history has recorded. When Palliser came through southern Alberta in the late 1800’s, he recorded the area was so hot and dry it was uninhabitable. No available fuels being used back then.

One of the oldest history books known to mankind, the Bible tells of Joseph knowing in a dream, a famine was coming to Egypt and instructed a portion of grain to be put in storehouses to prevent a famine in the country in the coming years. No fossil fuels!

In the Dirty Thirties, the fields were planted and harvested with horses, the main transportation was horse and buggy or democrats. No fossil fuels! The drought was widespread.

Our federal government have convinced people there is no need to think for yourself.  People are being led down the garden path like sheep to the slaughter pen.

Money will not change the weather. Yes, you have less money to pay your bills, the government has more to waste. Best they realize the Good Lord has control, not the government.

There is nothing new about climate change_pull the planes out of the sky, keep your feet on the ground and protect the air you breathe.

With luck your harvest is complete. The grain bins are far from full and I’m told barley is $9 a bushel so I guess beer drinkers are in for a shock.

The cowherds are going to market in untold numbers, steak will only be what you dream of next year.

The Canadian food supply is shrinking so don’t be shocked when you enter the grocery store.

Have a thoughtful and courageous day and think for yourself. Don’t be led down the garden path.
