
Maxine Hansel
Maxine Patricia Hansel was born in the Stettler Hospital on July 16, 1936; the second youngest of five children. Maxine passed away in Stettler on Oct. 15, 2023 at the age of 87 years.
Maxine will be lovingly remembered by her daughters: Deborah Bince of Lethbridge, Susan (Jim) Renschler of Botha, Alta. and Aleta Nichols of Botha; son Lyne (Marina) Hansel of Gadsby; grandchildren: Daniel Rand (formerly known as James), Teresa Lees, Kelly Nichols, Shelley Swaren, Jody (Michelle) Renschler, Rusty Nichols (Melissa Burton), Christopher (Amber) Hansel and Collin (Becky) Hansel; great-grandchildren: Samantha Carpenter, Vincent Arelis, Victoria Arelis, Jayden Swaren, Madison Swaren, Charlie Renschler, McKenna Renschler, Everly Renschler, Terrance Nichols, Sierra Nichols, Raeleigh Nichols, Nash Nichols, Gavin Hansel, Caleb Hansel, Wren Hansel and Ria Hansel.
Also survived by sister Elpha (Ron) Senft; brothers-in-law Bill (Joyce) Hansel and Gary Larson; numerous nieces and nephews; other family members and many dear friends and neighbours.
Maxine was predeceased by her loving husband Joe Hansel, parents Russell and Pearl Haner, parents-in-law Lloyd and Pearl Hansel, sisters: Mildred (Bruce) McMillian, Blanche (Jerry) McKay, Annice (Ray) Erichsen, brother-in-law Victor Hansel, sister-in-law Lavina Larson, and son-in-law Eugene Nichols, as well as other family and friends.
A funeral service for the late Maxine Hansel will be held at the Stettler United Church, Stettler, Alta. on Fri. Oct. 27, 2023 at 2 p.m.
Donations in memory of Maxine are gratefully accepted to the Omega Cemetery, Gadsby, Alta.
