Hanna RCMP investigating collision with serious injuries

On Nov.14, 2018, at approximately 6:10 p.m., Hanna RCMP responded to a three-vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 9 and Highway 36.

Preliminary investigation has determined a truck was travelling eastbound on Highway 9 and struck the rear of an eastbound semi truck hauling a gravel trailer. A second eastbound semi truck then collided with the truck.

The eastbound truck had two male occupants, one male was transported to hospital via Air Ambulance with serious life threatening injuries. The second male passenger of the truck was transported to hospital by EMS with serious injuries. Both drivers of the semi truck were not injured.

Hanna RCMP, RCMP collision analyst, and Hanna Fire Department attended the scene.

All potential causes of the collision are currently under investigation. RCMP are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident to please call Hanna RCMP at 403-854-3393 or call your local police.
