The Hanna & District Chamber of Commerce held their Chamber Business Awards on Thurs. Oct. 18 to commemorate the hard work and innovation individuals and businesses consistently enhance the community.
Comedian Daryl Makk performed for an hour before the award presentations began.
The Hanna Legion was full of smiling faces throughout the evening.
The Business of the Year Award was given to Super A Foods for their contributions to the community as well as Hanna centred business and employee base.
Following Business of the Year was Small Business of the Year. East Side Auto Body won the award for also showing community contributions and achieving growth and innovation with less than 10 employees on staff.
Live, Love, Laugh Shoes claimed Rookie Business of the Year by showing current business success and future potential.
The Business Customer Service Excellence Award was awarded to the Hanna Pizza & Steakhouse while the Individual Customer Service Excellence Award was a tie. Both Kim Barth and Wanda Kautz received the award.
The Mentorship Award highlights employers that give equal opportunity, show strong positive leadership, and demonstrates a commitment to hiring youth. Kim Barth was the recipient of this award as well.
The Hanna Public Library was awarded the Community Spirit Award by supporting recreational and cultural projects as well as supporting seniors, youth, and local culture.
Employee’s Choice Award went to Freson Bros. after being nominated by an employee or employees of a business as being an exceptional place to work.
The Innovative Entrepreneur Award recipient exemplifies qualities of effective leadership, innovatively applied know-how and excellent potential for growth. Hanna Chiropractic Clinic won this award.
Chamber Member of the Year is an award that focuses on a recipient that supports Chamber led events and holds an advertising spot on the Highway billboard. Freson Bros. also won this award.
