Fuller, Glenn: Grandkids were biggest joy

Glenn Allan Fuller was born in Galahad, Alberta on January 14, 1950; he passed away on September 24, 2015 at Our Lady of the Rosary Hospital in Castor, Alberta.

Glenn was the youngest son of Gordon and Cleda Fuller. He attended Paintearth and Castor schools; Glenn, an excellent horseman competed at many gymkhanas, accumulating numerous prizes and trophies. He was also a jockey for Orville Strandquist at this time.

On July 22, 1972 Glenn married Marcia Oberg. They purchased the Duport farm where they lived and farmed for 40 years. In 1975 Kelly was born. Glenn was always involved in coaching or managing Kelly’s baseball and hockey teams. Glenn was also busy operating a construction company.

Glenn continued his interest in animals, training race horses and raising reindeer. Throughout the years, Glenn enjoyed curling, playing fastball and recreational hockey and managing the local senior hockey team. Many life long friendships came from these activities. Glenn always had a nickname for everyone and had fun teasing and playing pranks on them.

Glenn worked hard to build up his farm and was proud of his shop and all his machinery. His grandkids were his biggest joy and he always enjoyed having them spend time on the farm.

Glen was predeceased by his parents Gordon and Cleda Fuller and his in laws Everett and Lila Oberg.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Marcia; his son Kelly (Charmaine); his grandchildren Kristin, Karli and Zachery; his brothers Alden (Sandra) and Lyle; as well as other family members and many friends.

A celebration of Glenn’s life will be held Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Castor Community Hall.
