Viola Alice Grams was born on June 25, 1935 at Lomond, Alta. to parents Hiram and Annie Johnson. She was the eldest of their eight children.
Growing up, she attended the Wolf Hill School, southwest of Byemoor, Alta.
On March 7, 1958, she married the love of her life, Jack Grams. They settled into farm life in the Endiang District working together and raising their four boys.
In October 2016, Jack and Vi left the farm and moved into Paragon Place in Stettler.
Jack’s health declined and he passed away in May of 2018, a few months after they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
Vi remained at Paragon Place enjoying visits with her many family members and friends.
On Aug. 4, 2021, she passed away surrounded by family at the Stettler Hospital.
She will be lovingly remembered by her family; sons: Rod (Debbie) of Endiang, Clayton (Linda) of Edmonton, Randy (Kathi) and Morgan (Carla) both of Botha; grandchildren: Danny, Erin (Dustin) Weinzierl, Kristopher (Christina), Shane (Becky), Kendra (Therrin), Brandon (Kendra), Chad (Jill), and Kyle.
Also by 14 great-grandchildren; siblings Dorothy Annable (Earl), Marion Annable, Stan (Donna) Johnson, Edwin (Gail) Johnson, Ellen Wilton (Gordon), Gladys (Stan) Nattestad and Frances (Larry) Morgan; sister-in-law Clara Morlang and Heather Grams, numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and other family and friends.
Funeral services were held at the Endiang Community Hall, Endiang, Alta. on Thurs. Aug. 12, 2021 with Pastor Kevin Driver officiating. The interment followed in the Endiang Cemetery.
