Golf course busy on the weekend

Fifteen teams played in the 3-Lady Best Ball tournament at the Coronation Golf Course on Sat. Aug. 27.

Velma Motley’s team took first place in the ‘A’ event with a total score of 73 on 18 holes. Motley, from Czar, Ab. had her sister, Donna Herring of Murray Harbour, PEI and Kate Von Guntin of Sheep Creek, B.C. to round out her threesome.

Joy Usselman’s team with Julie Schroeder and Sheri Wuzinski took second place with 75 total strokes and third place prize money went to Stacey Schedlosky and her team with a 78.

Teny Allan team from Stettler took first in the ‘B’ side with 81; Lea Zimmer placed in second with 83 and Jodi Shipton team was in the money with 86.

Nola Alderdice of Blackfalds took first place in the ‘C’ event with an 88; Carol Lundy’s team took second with an 89; and Shannon Fitz-Gerald team placed third.

The 50/50 draw went to Liz Adams and many door prizes were handed out.

M & N tournament
The 3-Par  M & N tournament was held on Sat. Aug. 20 at the Coronation Golf Course with 21 teams with the Ryan Schedlosky team taking first in the ‘A’ event with a total score of 48, and Justin Schedlosky second 51.

Darcy Hewitt took first in the ‘B’ event with a 52 total score on 18 holes, followed by Cory Tellier with a 55 after breaking a tie with the Liz Adams threesome.

Dale Brigley took first in the ‘C’ event with a score of 59 followed with second monies to the Jordan N. threesome with 59.

The annual two-day, three person mixed tournament is on the long weekend.
