Glasier, James (Jim)

On Nov. 14, 2017 James (Jim) Glasier passed away surrounded by his family.
He is survived by his loving wife Natalya ‘Nat’, daughters Debora (Kelly) and Linda; and son, Brian (Harriet); grandchildren Adam, Laura (Alex), James (Melissa), Alica (Pat), Heather and Sarah; and great grandchildren Quinn and Deacon.
He is also survived by brothers Neal and Leslie (Ruth); sister Lovella (Dale) and extended family.
Jim was predeceased by his parents, Lyle and Thelma Glasier and sister Vi (Pete).
Jim was born in Rocky Mountain House, Ab. and he moved to Coronation, Ab. where he lived on a farm with his parents.
After graduation he taught school for one year then moved to Edmonton where he met Natalya. They married on May 11, 1957 then moved to Drayton Valley where Jim worked at Pembina Pipe Line and had daughters, Debbie and Linda.
Jim and Nat returned to Edmonton on August of 1964 where son, Brian soon arrived.
Jim obtained his Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and later his Certified Management Accounting designation.
He worked for Healy Motors, Celanese and then finished his career at Alberta Power retiring at the age of 62.
Over the years he travelled to numerous destinations with his family members and he loved camping, visiting and playing games and cards.
Jim and Nat also loved their church family, square dancing, round dancing, walking and card clubs.
