Geese stop by on their migration south

Written by ECA Review

Huge flocks and family groups of geese including this flock of white geese stop for a rest and to eat on their long migration from the Arctic, northern Canada, and Alaska on Sun. Oct. 22 to their wintering grounds in the United States and Mexico just before the snow fell on Monday. They are capable of flying over 1000 miles (1600 km) in a single day and can reach speeds of up to 70 miles a hour (113 km/h). ECA Review/J.Webster
