Oliver, Eloise, and Phineas Willis of Linden, Alta. enjoyed their hands-on exposure to farm and emergency response vehicles and personnel Sat. Sept. 23 in Trochu.

Freely touching and climbing in and out of farm equipment and getting blasted by a police car siren were part of a Fun Fair and Touch the Truck event.

That was the parking lot outside the TroVal School. Inside, the Fun Fair with a free lunch, door prizes, a literature table, and 10 child-friendly skill-and-play stations that attracted 57 participants from Acme, Trochu, Three Hills, Swalwell and Linden.

Key to organizing the three-hour come-and-go event was the Kneehill Child and Youth Working Group, composed of Kneehill Regional Family Community Support Services, Alberta Health Service, the RCMP, Victim Services, the Family Resource Network, Kneehill County, and Golden Hills School Division.
