The Hanna Harvesters lacrosse team, U11 to U17, held their first practice on Friday, May 12 at the Hanna arena with Hanna kids, as well as Oyen and Byemoor kids attending and coached by Ricky Boyce. This is the first year starting out as a rec league in hopes of becoming a competitive team in the Central Alberta Lacrosse League (CALL) in a couple of years. The team will wind up on June 30 with a big game, Yellow versus Orange at the JC Charyk School with hopes of having the President Kim Smyth of CALL on the microphone to do the play-by-play, as well as some celebrity judges for the stick trick competition during half time.
