The Hanna RCMP were called to a rollover on Highway 36, a few kilometres north of the Prairie Oasis Campground turn off.

The empty semi tractor-trailer was heading south on Highway 36 when it lost control and entered the northbound ditch and rolled onto its side on Sat. July 27, 2019.

The wind, which was reported to be in excess of 100 kilometres per hour, is believed to have been a factor in the rollover.

The driver was extricated from the truck by the Hanna Fire Department and transported to hospital by Hanna EMS with significant but non-life threatening injuries.

A Special Areas Peace Officer also attended the scene and assisted with traffic control.

There are no charges being laid.
