The Erskine School community has experienced over 10 per cent of students and staff away due to illness.  At this time, at least three individuals have reported to the school they have tested positive for COVID-19.

Due to the situation where greater than 10 per cent absenteeism due to respiratory illness having been confirmed at the school, the Medical Officer of Health has requested Alberta Health Services (AHS) Public Health staff to initiate an investigation.

Following the protocols from Alberta Health Services, Clearview staff will not be identifying or contacting close contacts.

Erskine School continues to remain open and we are working closely with Alberta Health Services to ensure necessary measures are in place to protect all students and staff.

Our current safety protocols include: enhanced cleaning and disinfecting daytime custodial staff, and handwashing and sanitizing.

We remind all families to continue to closely monitor your children for any signs or symptoms of COVID-19.

As a reminder, if you/your child has any of the symptoms of illness listed on the Alberta Health daily checklist, please fill out the online Alberta Health Services COVID-19 self-assessment or call Health Link at 811 and stay home/keep your child at home.
