Oli Erickson passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on May 4, 2011 at the age of 81. He is sadly missed by his loving wife, Irene, four daughters, Lori, Lynne, Patti (Eric) and Melanie (Dale). Also, six grandsons, one brother, one sister and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Oli started various jobs after grade school and finally settled into a career in the oil patch. Oli married Irene in 1956 and after travelling with the job for a few years, they settled in Coronation in 1967.
His hobbies included fishing, hunting, golfing, playing ball and travelling to see family. He also enjoyed watching sports on television. The last couple years after he retired, he enjoyed doing yardwork. A memorial service was held at the Evangelical Free Chruch in Coronation. Donations may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation c/o the Tom Baker Cancer Centre, 1331-29 St N.W. Calgary, or the charity of your choice.
