Despite howling winds, nearly 30 participants gathered at the Spondin Community Centre Thurs. March 24 for a presentation by equine chiropractors Murray McGonigle and Danie Rairdan.
McGonigle has been working in the industry for 36 years and Rairdan for six, working on over 12,000 horses in the past year alone.
Basic horse anatomy and structural functions were outlined followed by an explanation of how structural misalignment can lead to a wide range of unsoundnesses and interruptions in the normal function of a horse’s body.
Numerous case studies were shown, documenting their problems, assessment and diagnosis, corrective steps taken and amazing recovery results.
Following lunch by the Spondin ladies, the participants moved to Larry Petersons’ arena to observe as McGonigle and Rairdan adjusted 25 horses belonging to the attendees to give them a new chance to be the best that they can be!
