The theme for the Endmoor Floor Curling ‘Funspiel’ held at the Endiang Community Hall on Monday, March 19 was ‘Dress Western’.
Forty-eight players (12 teams), some dressed in western regalia, came from Castor, Halkirk, Botha, Stettler, Hanna, Round Hill, Big Valley, Delia, Byemoor and Endiang to take part in a fun day.
The teams are made up by drawing the names of all entries from a hat so that all communities can be represented on each team.
All teams played three – eight end games of floor curling, had a delicious luncheon catered by Karyn Tateson, lots of visiting, and each went home with a prize.
The prizes consisted of mostly food items and/or other household commodities that can be used by the winner or their family. Nothing to sit on the shelf and gather dust.
There were draws and raffles as well when the prizes were handed out at the end of the day.
The organizers hope all enjoyed the day and that they will come back to participate again next year.
