During the discussion, the idea of building a multi-purpose facility was also brought forward.
“We’re even looking for a multiplex too, so we can put the town office, the youth centre and the library in a space,” said Mayor Jul Bissel.
A temporary library will be put in place sometime in January with more information in regard to the location coming at a later date.

Community awards
Somewhere towards the end of the year the community of Elnora may be seeing a new awards ceremony as suggested by Mayor Bissel during his Mayors report.
“I think it would be a really good thing for the community,” said Bissel.
The idea came forward due to the success of the celebration honouring local community member Anna Mose who was a recipient of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Medal.
The idea for the new awards is to get the community together to talk, fundraise and celebrate achievements with a couple of little awards.
“This is something we should do for the community,” said Bissel.
More discussion of the possibility of the community awards will come forward at a future meeting.
