Gale Ell, wife to Tim Ell, passed away in Hanna on Friday, March 2, 2012 at the age of 56 after a courageous battle with cancer. Besides her loving husband Tim, Gale is survived by her daughter Monica and her son-in-law Jeff; one grand-daughter Madison; mother Edith Holstine, sister Louise Burback, brother Wayne Holstine and sister-in-law Diane and brother Brian Holstine all of Taber, Alberta. Gale is pre-deceased by her father Fred Holstine and father-in-law Leo Ell and mother-in-law Christine Ell all of Taber, Alberta. Gale, a high -school sweetheart of Tim, married in Taber, Alberta on September 21, 1974. Their daughter Monica was born in Redwater, Alberta in 1975.
For many years, Gale worked as a bookkeeper for her brother Wayne in various business ventures and Gale moved to Hanna, to join her husband Tim, to work in the family accounting business in 1995. Gale has worked with many people in the Big Country for many years and had great passion and love for the work she did on a daily basis. Additionally, Gale had great passion for animals and the outdoors. The funeral service was held at the Christ Redeemer Lutheran Church, Hanna, Alberta Wednesday, March 7.
