Disaster Emergency Protocol apparently ignored

Dear Editor,

They say hindsight is 20/20. That’s just not going to wash in a pandemic nationwide showing little headway except the panacea of limited vaccines and their distribution.

The Federal Government, from day one, has refused to follow the science of respected medical specialists, in my opinion,  and has stumbled around from the beginning.

Declarations from the World Health Organization (WHO) closely aligned with Communist China and the vaccine origins, became the word of the day.

Public health employees and health officials mixed with politics has given a daily report every day for a year filled with statistics, many not substantiated by fact, and has turned the entire country into a hysterical, fearful mess.

This pandemic is far from over in the immense damage done to the Canadian people in most dire circumstances.

This is time for foresight into a full exposure of how this was handled and respect, even now, the word of the science experts.

This won’t be the last virus to expose itself so maybe respect the re-occurrence in the future.

In 2007, a complete Disaster Emergency Protocol was established by both federal and provincial leaders for the very reason to follow the rules in the event of a disaster, whether it be flood, fire, disease or any other threats.

Apparently, it was discarded or ignored. Sad!
