The U15 3C’s Coyotes are Tier 2 Provincial champions! This is the first Provincial Championship since the inception of the 3C’s Minor Hockey Association.

3C’s went 2-1 in the round robin, defeating the Grande Prairie Knights 4-2, the Sherwood Park Huskies 8-2 and took a late game tough loss to the Barrhead Bruins 3-2.

They faced off against the Beaverlodge Blades in the semi-final and won it handily 8-3.

The finals was a game to remember! The stands were packed with fans cheering for the 3C’s from our hometowns of Castor, Consort, Coronation, to the host team, and the teams the Coyotes beat to get to provincials.

The atmosphere was electric. 3C’s faced off against the St. Paul Canadians for the final and the game was tied 2-2 at the end of the second period.

St. Paul opened up the third-period scoring and took a 4-2 lead with 11:49 left. Kaleb Bozek scored one for the Coyotes a minute later to bring them to 4-3, then scored another two minutes later to tie it up at 4-4.

Eleven seconds later St. Paul scored to go ahead 5-4 and Boston Slemp scored at the 17:03 mark to tie it back up at 5-5. Not 30 seconds later St. Paul scored to go ahead 6-5.

Coyotes pulled their goalie and Kaleb Bozek scored another tying goal at 18:46 that sent the game into overtime. The first overtime was scoreless and the game headed to double overtime. At 13:45 in the double overtime, Kaleb Bozek scored the game-winning goal for the championship!
