Two individuals in Clearview have tested positive for COVID-19, impacting students and staff at Wm. E. Hay Stettler Secondary Campus (WEH SSC) and Coronation School.
This individual at WEH SSC was present in the school April 8 – 9 and the individual at Coronation School was present in the school April 9, 2021 during the period they may have been contagious.
In collaboration with Alberta Health Services, the division has contacted those families of students and staff who have been in close contact with the individuals who tested positive for COVID-19.
A school administrator has phoned those directly impacted and will be following up with a formal letter.
Note that two or more cases have been confirmed at William E. Hay Stettler Secondary Campus.
As part of advanced planning, the division is prepared to respond to this situation.
The schools continue to remain open as per expected and Clearview is working closely with Alberta Health Services to ensure necessary measures are in place to protect all students and staff.
This includes cleaning and disinfecting all items touched by the individual and removing items that cannot be cleaned or disinfected, such as paper and books.
