Council receives request for tax break

During the regular meeting of Coronation Town Council on Monday November 12, a request was received from the owner of a new commercial building on Victoria Avenue to considered for a tax break under the town’s Business Incentive by-law.
The by-law, enacted in 2010, offers a three-year property tax rebate for new commercial and industrial developments within the town.

Library Board
A memo was received by the Coronation Memorial Library, requesting council to accept by motion the members of the Library Board for their 2012-2013 term.
The board members, as presented to council, consist of Chairperson Val Cornell, Vice Chair Sheri Wuzinski, Secretary Jill Bossert, Treasurer Linda McLarty and Trustees Donna Rondeau, Janine Stannard, Marilyn Polege, Linda Bunbury, representative for the County of Paintearth, Jackie Brigley and Dylan Bullick, both representatives for the Town of Coronation.
Christmas Tree
The Town of Coronation is seeking volunteers to decorate the town’s Christmas tree. Town CAO Sandra Kulyk informed council that the person who normally took care of the decorating was not available this year, and was hoping  to find volunteers within the community to take on the task. The tree will be installed at the intersection of Windsor Avenue and Royal Street, and decorations will be provided.
