Village of Elnora is offering free lots at their campground for those who have been evacuated from their homes due to the Alberta wildfires.
On May 17, council approved opening the campground to people who have been evacuated from their homes at no cost.
Elnora council met and decided that they wanted to help the people who are being affected by the wildfires. They acknowledge that people might have lost their income due to the fires and could be running out of money and might need help.
The village has offered this in the past during the Fort McMurray wildfire.
The campground has 23 service lots. The lots will be first come first served and to get the lot for free you need to show proof of residency.
