Council motions to change bylaws

Morrin council approved revising two bylaws at a special meeting on Mon. Nov 20.
Schedule ‘A’ modifications referring to photocopies provided by administration, were carried unanimously. Cost was changed to $5 for each meeting, and would include agenda, minutes and attachments.
The current meeting packages will be made available prior to the start of the meeting at no charge.
In the Procedural Bylaw, the time of meetings was changed to 7:30 p.m. from 7 p.m.
Under X11. 4. General Rules of Council, the clause not permitting recording devices and cameras being prohibited was struck from the bylaw by a unanimous decision.
Chief Adminstrative Officer, Annette Plachner will bring back the revised bylaws to the next meeting for official approval.
Mayor Howard Helton also struck committees to look at implementing a village website and a sewer repair bylaw.
CAO Plachner will provide councillors with an Emergency Contact list and a letter from Mayor Helton noted that he and his wife, Lynn will gift five additional office chairs for the public gallery at their meetings rather than attendees having to sit on metal chairs.
