Coronation School Grades 6-12 transitioning to online learning for next two weeks

Starting Wednesday, April 21, 2021 until Tuesday, May 4, 2021, Coronation School will be offering online learning only for Grades 6 to 12.

On Tuesday, the school will be working with staff on what learning will be over the next two weeks and communicating with families.

Families can expect online learning to begin on Thurs. April 22.

The shift to online learning is the result of the number of students and staff that have tested positive for COVID-19 or have been identified as close contacts.

The adjustment to online learning represents the best option for learning for our students due to the number of cases and shortage of available staff.

At this time the plan provides Coronation School to resume in-class learning on Wed. May 5.

We continue to monitor the number of cases and should further actions be needed we will inform our families as possible, including if needed online learning for other grades and/or extending the period of online learning.

Thank you for your continued support and shared commitment. We recognize this decision may pose a challenge for families.

As always, our students and their families’ safety and wellness remain our top priority while focusing on student and staff success.

We remind all parents/guardians to continue to closely monitor their children for any signs or symptoms of COVID-19.

The Alberta Health daily checklist can be found here.

Please remember to complete the checklist each day, whether children are attending school and/or getting on the school bus or not.

As a reminder, if you/your child has any of the symptoms of illness listed on the Alberta Health daily checklist, please fill out the online Alberta Health Services COVID-19 self-assessment or call Health Link at 811 and stay home/keep your child at home.

If you have any immediate questions, please also see Clearview’s online information for parents at https://www.clearview.ab.ca/COVID-19Parents.php, Email clearview@clearview.ab.ca or you may contact your school on Tuesday, April 21.
