Coronation RCMP investigate two local thefts and break-ins

Coronation RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance with two separate break-ins and thefts that occurred overnight in the Towns of Coronation and Castor.

At approximately 2:20 a.m., on Saturday, December 22, 2018, in the Town of Castor, a suspect gained entry to an unattended utility trailer by cutting the locks off the trailer’s rear door.

Once inside, the suspect stole multiple construction tools.

The following tools were stolen: Bostitch 650 Siding Stapler, Bostitch 650 Stapler, Bostitch Framing Nailer, Bostitch Strapshot, Bostitch Brad Nailer and Stapler, Dewalt Compressor, Pasload Stapler and Siding Stapler, 8’ Extension Level and 12’ Step Ladder.

Later that same morning, at approximately 2:40 a.m., a suspect accessed a storage unit on the property of the UFA in Coronation by cutting the locks to the main door of the storage unit.

The suspect then stole multiple motor vehicle oil containers from inside the storage unit.

The following items were stolen from the storage unit: six pails of Shell 18.9L 5W40, two pails of Shell 18.9L 15W40 and 12 jugs of Shell 5L 5W40.

Coronation RCMP believe the incidents may be related with a possible suspect vehicle described as a newer model red Ford pick-up truck.
