Coronation Parade results

The 49th annual Rodeo Parade was held on in the afternoon of Sat. July 6.

The weather was perfect and the entries were fantastic.

Judges Karen Horn and Katherine Rice did a great job once again!

Next year we will celebrate 50 years of Professional Rodeo in Coronation so we hope to make the Parade bigger and better than ever!

Best Theme Float for first place went to SK Welding and second place to the Town of Coronation.

Best Decorated Business Vehicle went to Future Ag in first place and Korner Kash & Karry in second.

Coronation Tire & Rubber snagged first place for best business float while Home Hardware took second place.

For the Clubs and Churches category, first place went to the Coronation Memorial Library and second to the Zinger School of Dance.

The Out of Town category first place finish went to the Town of Stettler.

Second place went to the Gracenotes Choir based out of Stettler.

In the Antiques category, first place was awarded to Tony and Chris Selzler and their 1968 Meteor S33 Convertible while second went to Cliff Cline and his 1948 IHC Super A.

For Novelty, the MacGougan Posse – Kids/ Calves/Goats won first. Expedia Cruise Ship Centre with Carol Lundy took second.

Lastly, the Horses category first place went to Calvin Bishell with their team and buggy. On board was Honorary Parade Marshall Dale Butterwick.

Tom Wraight with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren for the Mounted Group of Seven took second place.
