UPDATE – Consort RCMP on scene of serious motor vehicle collision

Consort, Coronation, and Oyen RCMP responded to a single vehicle rollover at 9:36 a.m. on Oct. 13,  involving a truck pulling a trailer and skid steer on Highway 41 near Township 325. Upon arrival, emergency responders attempted to assist the lone occupant, however he was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver has been identified as a 17-year-old male.

The investigation continues into the cause of this tragic event.  Witnesses advise that the vehicle went off the road and over corrected causing it to roll.

Occupational Health and Safety has been called as well to investigate.

Consort RCMP are currently on scene of a serious single vehicle motor vehicle collision on Highway 41 near Township road 325. The highway is impassible in both directions. RCMP anticipate that the highway will remain impassible for several hours while officers investigate and emergency crews clean the scene.
