Volunteer Charlotte Curtis douses a willing participant with powdered green paint during the “Colour Me Green Run” as he runs past one of two paint stations along the 5km route.

The t-shirts runners wore started out a pristine white but soon became multicoloured after been drenched with non-toxic liquid orange and pink paint and then the powdered green. The brand new event promoting 4-H and fitness was held Aug. 28 in West Stettler Park and sold out with over 200 participants of all ages.

“This family and community orientated event invites people from all walks of life,” stated Executive Director of the event Aaryn Lynham, “Colour Me Green may get messy, but that’s what makes it an absolute blast!” Colour Me Green will be featured at the 4-H Centennial to be held in Olds in August 2017.
