Clearview Public Schools is very pleased to announce the appointment of Myranda Shepherd as the new principal of William E Hay Secondary School Campus beginning in 2020-21.
Shepherd is currently the principal of Bashaw School.
She returns to Clearview after a seven-year absence during which she served as a provincial consultant with Alberta Education for the implementation of high school redesign and as principal of Bashaw School.
She was previously a teacher at William E. Hay as well as vice-principal.
Professionally, Shepherd is a strong advocate for and supporter of rural education.
She believes that at the very core of empowered learning communities are relationships built on a solid foundation of trust.
These relationships occur at all levels of an educational system – between jurisdictions and administrators, administrators and teachers, teachers and students and the school community with the parent community.
