Chad Clayton Christians, beloved husband of Tanya Christians of Red Deer County, passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on Sept. 19, 2017 at the age of 41 years after a courageous battle with cancer.
Chad was born on Dec. 8, 1975 in Stettler, Ab. to parents John and Valerie Christians and grew up in Coronation where his passion and talent for sports shined.
Chad moved to Red Deer after graduating high school in 1994. In 1996, he welcomed his first son Cole Tanner Elliott into his world.
He met the love of his life, Tanya Harrison June 1999. They were married in 2004 and together they had three beautiful children. Mya Marie Christians, Clay Johnathan Christians and Kahlan Harley Christians. Chad was a most loving father to his children.
Chad was a master electrician who successfully owned and operated High Energy Electric. He was a talented athlete who enjoyed playing hockey each winter and baseball each spring and summer.
He loved camping, quading, movies, playing all sports, socializing and taking adventures.
Chad’s biggest passion was spending time with his family. Chad will always be remembered as being so kind, charismatic and truly the best friend anyone could have.
Chad will also be lovingly remembered by his sister Sheila Crouch (Kyle), his grandmother Linda Lang, mother-in-law Kathy Hamilton, father-in-law Les Hamilton, sisters and brothers in-law Carla Lawrence (Bill), Teresa Skiba (John), cousin Cody Oppenboen (Jeannie) and many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins and many close friends.
Family and Friends are welcome to attend a celebration of Chad’s life at Crossroads Church in Red Deer, Ab. on Fri., Sept. 29 at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, a trust fund will be set up for Chad’s children and donations will be accepted at the service where cheques can be made out to Tanya Christians.
