Castor youth archers excel at Turkey Buster Virtual Shoot

The Castor Raider Archery Club took part in its first competition of the 2023-2024 National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) season, with 18 archers entered into the NASP/IBO (International Bowhunters Organization) 3D Turkey Buster Virtual Shoot.

The tournament ran from Nov. 1 through Nov. 20 with a total of 1,257 archers from 11 American states with Castor as the lone Canadian team competing.
Archers shot at 3D targets at their own venues and scores were reported to the tournament organizers by Nov. 20.

Top shooters from Castor were: Savannah Lungle, sixth out of 434 in High School Girls with a score of 250, Colter Stirling, 18th out of 278 with a score of 245 in High School Boys and Myla Geall scored 12th out of 336 in Middle School Girls with a score of 221.
