Castor Raider Archery Club swept all categories in virtual tournament

The Castor Raider Archery Club had a great start to their “National Archery in the Schools Program” (NASP) competitive season by opening with a sweep of all age categories entered in the six team Newfoundland and Labrador NASP Virtual Tournament on January 28.

The Raiders produced the following individual results at this tournament:

Jehlyn Stirling- 1st Grade 12 Girls, 1st High School Girls

Colter Stirling- 1st Grade 8 Boys, 1st Middle School Boys

Maddox Hronek- 1st Grade 7 Boys, 2nd Middle School Boys

Savannah Lungle- 1st Grade 8 Girls, 1st Middle School Girls

Saphira Vincent- 1st Grade 10 Girls, 3rd High School Girls

Annabelle Stirling- 1st Grade 6 Girls, 2nd Middle School Girls

Kelsey Stirling- 1st Grade 4 Girls, 1st Elementary Girls

Jayda Stirling- 2nd Grade 6 Girls, 3rd Middle School Girls

Austin Acaster- 2nd Grade 7 Boys, 3rd Middle School Boys

Kinsley Smith- 1st Grade 5 Girls, 2nd Elementary Girls

Madison Smith- 2nd Grade 4 Girls, 3rd Elementary Girls

Kennedy Hronek- 3rd Grade 4 Girls, 4th Elementary Girls

Hunter Tauber- 1st Grade 4 Boys, 1st Elementary Boys

The Raiders then followed up with two individual first place finishes, recorded at the 20 team Wm. E. Hay Nockbusters Tournament Feb 11.

The club, representing both Gus Wetter and Theresetta Schools, continued its winning ways with the following top five individual finishes at this Stettler NASP competition:

Piper Dennie- 3rd Grade 7 Girls

Olivia Weeks- 4th Grade 4 Girls

The team will head to Ardrossan, Alta. for it’s next competition on March 4 and will host it’s own Bull’s Eye and 3-D tournaments on March 10 and 11 at Gus Wetter and Theresetta Schools.
